The Photographic Archive collects archives and disseminates images and audiovisual material on Tibet and Tibetan issues. Our archive collection consists of approximately 20,000 photographs, 5,000 slides, 15,000negatives, as well as films (both 8mm and 16mm), and videotapes. The collection covers varied issues relating to Tibet: nature, religion, culture, politics, the community in exile, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other important Lamas, and more. We are now in the process of computerizing the collection and make our catalog accessible through our website. At present, however, inquiries and searches should be submitted to us by email.

Donation
We are constantly on the lookout for photographs on Tibet and Tibetans issues. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. Future plans involve the construction of vast database of files that can be accessed by the public, museums and educational institutions and the media. The photographic Archive intends to serve as a visual reference point for the historical and ongoing oppression of the Tibetan people and their culture.
