Photographic services
The Museum aims to provide efficient access to the material in its collection while protecting it from the wear and tear of repeated handling. Prints and transparencies of historical photographs are supplied subject to the conditions stated below. All enquiries about photographic orders, discounts, and reproduction rights should be sent in writing to the following address.

The Tibet Museum Photographic Service Conditions

The purchase of a photographic print or transparency does not in itself carry with it the right to make a reproduction in any form. Copyright and Moral rights vested in the images remains the property of the Tibet Museum.
  • All Rights issued are for one-time non-exclusive use.
  • Permission to reproduce and the fee payable cover only the specific occasion detailed on the original application.
  • Photographic material supplied by the Museum may not be rehired or sold on.
  • No image may be edited or manipulated in any way without the consent of the Museum.

Note: Since our photographic archive is meant for research facility, we cannot therefore offer rapid commercial services.

Payment
  • Payment is required in advance.
  • Postage and packing are extra.
  • Cheques or bank draft should be made payable to 'DIIR'.
  • Credit cards are not accepted at the moment.

Charges
  • All orders for images are subject to handingly and scanning charge of Rs. 30.00 per image.
  • If the scanned image is needed in CD Rom, extra Rs. 100 will be charge.
  • US $ 25.00 an extra charge may be made if the value of goods necessitates the use of Registered Post or speed post.
